From May 26th to 28th, 2026, we took part in the national training activity for European Solidarity Corps (ESC) organisations, hosted in Rome by the Italian Youth Agency (Agenzia Italiana per la Gioventù). The event provided a vital space to discuss the ESC programme, with a specific focus on the evolving role, tasks and responsibilities of hosting organisations.

Throughout the training, we engaged in fruitful exchanges with the other participants on:

• the key challenges in managing international volunteering projects, co creating practical solutions together
• how to ensure high pedagogical quality, safety and clear responsibilities within the programme framework
• networking and sharing best practices among diverse civil society organisations.

Strengthening equality, rights and active citizenship across Europe is at the heart of our work, in the framework of the CERV programme (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values). Also within the ESC framework, our network remains fully committed to capacity building and to empowering youth organisations to create safe, inclusive and high-quality spaces for young people.
