For the kick off of European Youth Week, together with our European Solidarity Corps volunteer Mariann, we had the opportunity to visit the European Commission in Brussels. It was an incredible experience to see up close where EU policymakers work and to make the voices of young people heard.
During the event, we participated in thematic workshops, discussed challenges facing young people across the EU, and met with commissioners and interns, forming meaningful connections with many other participants. As Mariann told us: “It was a unique opportunity to discuss crucial issues and build connections that matter.”
We believe these experiences are essential for promoting active participation and European citizenship.
