Fair play as a tool for inclusion and participation n recent weeks, a group of international volunteers took part in an initiative in Athens promoting social inclusion through art, dialogue and sport. The volunteers worked with the children of the Umoja football team, exploring the value of fair play, respect, cooperation and acceptance of differences. The group organised an interactive theatre performance focusing on discrimination and inclusion in sport. Using Forum Theatre methods, the children and the audience were actively involved in the performance, suggesting alternative solutions to situations of exclusion and discrimination. The activity ended with a group discussion on racism and discrimination, highlighting the role of sport in promoting inclusion and challenging stereotypes. The collaboration with Umoja Enosi showed how participatory theatre can encourage dialogue, mutual understanding and community participation, while promoting fair play as a principle for a more inclusive society. The initiative was part of the VEIL CORPS project, co funded by the European Union and developed through a collaboration between InformaGiovani and SCI Hellas.
