Food, fashion, digital technology and transport at the heart of the youth exchange Together with the 25 participants from Serbia, the Netherlands, Turkey and Italy, as part of the ImpACT international youth exchange, we explored the impact our everyday choices have on the environment, and how even small changes can make a difference. The programme was structured around four key pillars: food, transport, digital technology and fashion. Each of these areas offered practical ideas and insights into how to reduce the environmental impact of our daily actions. In the kitchen, participants experimented with ways to reduce food waste by transforming leftovers into new dishes. The activity also led to the creation of a shared recipe book, bringing together recipes from different cultures that all share a creative use of leftovers. In thefashion sector, unused clothes became the starting point for customisation and upcycling activities. Through drawing, sewing and creativity, participants breathed new life into garments that would otherwise have remained unused. The group of participants also helped to create tools to share what they had learnt, explored the topic of digital technology in greaterdepth using the DART toolkit, and discovered the opportunities offered by the ESC and Erasmus+ programmes. This activity was part of the Erasmus+ project funded by the European Union
