In collaboration with the Preventing Gender Based Violence Network (PGVNet), we are organising a Partnership Building Activity (PBA) focused on preventing gender based violence and supporting victims. Implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation, the initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations to address these issues through non formal education approaches. The activity is aimed at organisations that work, or wish to develop initiatives, in the field of gender based violence prevention. We are looking for organisations interested in sharing experiences, tools and methodologies, contributing to the development of more effective strategies and collaborations in youth work. Participation is also open to organisations seeking to acquire new skills and improve their services and activities in this area. The initiative will bring together youth workers, educators, teachers, social workers, young journalists aged 18 and over, as well as local and regional authorities, universities, research centres, non governmental organisations and other civil society actors. By exchanging experiences from different contexts, participants will explore practices and tools that can help promote respectful relationships, tackle discrimination and support those affected by abuse and violence. Given the increasing number of reported cases, including within projects and activities involving young people, the event will provide a space for dialogue, knowledge sharing and reflection on prevention measures, as well as on the development of more effective support procedures and tools. Organisations from different countries will meet to exchange practices, protocols and experiences, strengthening international cooperation among those working with young people across Europe and beyond. Objectives of the Activity
• Reflect on existing common policies and those that may need to be developed.
• Share existing tools for preventing gender based violence that can be adapted or replicated.
• Exchange good practices, protocols and intervention methods for addressing cases of violence and abuse and supporting victims.
• Explore the need for joint advocacy actions.
• Build partnerships for future cooperation projects.
• Establish contacts with specialised local support services.
