A tool for educators and trainers Within the activities carried out in our Erasmus+ projects, we have compiled a series of practical kits featuring ideas, tools and non formal education activities focused on emotions, language, personal boundaries and the prevention of gender based violence. The material is designed for direct use in group work and draws on exchanges and training pathways developed by InformaGiovani in recent years. The toolkit is intended for youth workers, educators, volunteers and anyone working with groups of young people in both formal and non formal contexts. The activities included were originally developed within multicultural groups participating in projects supported by European Union programmes, and can also be used with groups from a single country by adapting examples to the needs of the context. This resource stems from two international youth exchanges held in Filaga, in the province of Palermo. The first, Breaking the Cycle, focused on understanding gender based violence and building healthy relationships. The second, Promoting Inclusivity and Respect, explored cultural awareness, tolerance and respect for differences, developing competences linked to communication and conflict management. The toolkit adopts participatory and non formal education methodologies. In doing so, it fosters critical thinking, creativity, awareness of differences and active engagement among young people. Our aim is to provide practical tools to explore the connections between identity, inclusion and social justice, encouraging responsible behaviour and participation in initiatives for positive change. If you wish to consult the toolkit, you can download the accessible Italian version or the accessible English version from our drive.
