Our volunteering project “Enjoy” is under way in Sant’Agata di Militello, in the province of Messina, in partnership with the Caritas Diocesana di Patti. Within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), an international team is working alongside local volunteers and residents, making a concrete impact on the community.
To ensure a rich, multi faceted experience, the group has been divided into smaller teams. This allows the participants to rotate and support the Caritas workers and volunteers in several core actions:
The synergy between the young peoplei from abroad, the local actors and the community is proving that youth mobility is a powerful tool for social cohesion and civic engagement. The energy on the ground is high, and the goals of fostering mutual understanding and solidarity are well within reach.
Strengthening equality, rights and active democratic citizenship across Europe is at the heart of our work, in the framework of the CERV programme, which stands for Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values. By engaging young people and students in grassroots solidarity actions and by supporting people in vulnerable situations, our network continues to empower the next generation to build a more inclusive, empathetic and cooperative Europe.
