A tool for educators and trainers As part of our accreditation for Erasmus+ Key Action 1, we have developed a series of practical, ready to use kits containing ideas, tools, and non formal education activities on a range of themes. One of these kits focuses on environmental sustainability and climate change. The material brings together activities and tools designed for direct use in group work and is the result of exchanges and training initiatives carried out by InformaGiovani in recent years. The toolkit is aimed at youth workers, educators, volunteers, and anyone working with groups of young people in both formal and non formal contexts. This particular toolkit originates from the experience of the international youth exchange Climate Chain Empowering Young People for Environmental Sustainability. It was held in Riposto, in the province of Catania, in May 2026, with the participation of young people from Italy, Romania, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The proposed activities explore the relationship between everyday choices and their environmental impact. The focus is centred on four themes:
food and nutrition
digital consumption
fashion and conscious consumption
mobility and carbon footprint
The toolkit uses participatory and non formal education methodologies. In doing so, it promotes critical thinking, creativity, environmental awareness, and the active engagement of young people. Our aim is to provide practical tools to explore the connections between lifestyles, sustainability and social justice. We want to encourage responsible behaviour and participation in initiatives for change, both locally and globally. To consult the toolkit, you can download the accessible Italian version or the accessible English version from our drive.
