Gender-based violence can take many forms, often subtle, and it can be committed by the very people we love. It is often disguised by confusing words such as ‘protection’ and ‘defence’.
But some behaviours and words can be a form of violence. This violence can be psychological, verbal, economic, or relational.
Our ‘violence meter’ helps us to spot violence before it becomes physical and abusive.
It is also a way to encourage people to talk about and think about violence, giving potential victims a way to stop the violence that can lead to dangerous situations.
You can download and reproduce the violence meter for free. If you would like a customised version with your logo or in your national language, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
