The Council for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency is a non-governmental organization in which citizens of the Republic of Macedonia voluntarily participate in order to establish a system of justice for children, prevention of juvenile delinquency and a system for the welfare of children, monitoring the institutions that work in the field of prevention and repression of juvenile delinquency, monitoring the trials before the competent courts in the republic, in the area of justice for children, in order to contribute to ensuring the guaranteed rights of children to a fair trial as provided for in the Constitution, laws and ratified international agreements, increasing public awareness and contributing to strengthening the trust of citizens in the institutions of the system, for justice for children, pointing out the need and working on possible reforms in judicial procedures for children.
The motive for this type of organization was primarily the uniqueness of the idea of combating juvenile delinquency and creating a completely new codified penal system of justice for children.
